As the autonomous driving level of new energy vehicles continues to improve, the number of millimeter-wave radars, in-vehicle communication modules, and chassis electronic control units deployed in vehicles is constantly increasing. The internal wiring harnesses are intricate and complex, and electromagnetic crosstalk between cables can easily cause radar detection deviations and signal interruptions in the vehicle's infotainment system. Traditional straight-woven conductive fabrics lack sufficient stretch margin and cannot adapt to the deformation of the wiring harness caused by vehicle vibrations. Long-term use can lead to plating peeling and failure. Diamond-patterned conductive fabrics, with their high elasticity, vibration resistance, and curved surface fit, are gradually becoming the preferred material for electromagnetic shielding of vehicle wiring harnesses.
Diamond-patterned conductive fabrics, customized for the harsh operating conditions of vehicles, use high-strength polyester fiber as the overall yarn base, with an alloy conductive layer on the surface. An additional oil-resistant and high/low temperature modified coating is added, allowing it to withstand temperature differences in the engine compartment from -45℃ to 130℃. Automotive lubricating oil and brake fluid will not corrode the conductive plating. The diamond weave provides inherent elastic cushioning space; during vehicle vibrations, the wiring harness's repeated expansion and contraction will not pull or tear the conductive network of the fabric, ensuring the long-term stability of the vehicle's wiring harness shielding. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, and its wrapping of wiring harnesses does not significantly increase the diameter of the conduits, perfectly meeting the lightweight design requirements of vehicles.
In downstream processing, the company combines the fabric with adhesive backing and sponge substrate to create derivative products such as wire harness-specific winding shielding cloth, corrugated pipe inner lining shielding sleeves, and connector sealing conductive gaskets. These products can be cut to fit high-voltage wiring harnesses and communication signal lines throughout the vehicle. Currently, this series of products has been used in multiple pure electric vehicle models to complete vehicle EMC calibration, resulting in a 42% reduction in overall vehicle electromagnetic radiation emissions and a significant improvement in the stability of in-vehicle audio and navigation signals. On the production side, the company continues to expand its automated braiding production lines, enabling customized production of fabrics with multiple weights and different conductive coatings. It is steadily undertaking large-volume supply orders from domestic and international automakers, deeply establishing itself in the automotive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) supporting industry.
